Coming up: New US - Denmark Workshop on Renewable Energy

Workshop participant Marie Bech, a student from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, at the UC Santa Cruz campus at the NASA AMES Research Center in Silicon Valley. During the one month workshop in California, Marie worked on a project aiming to integrate energy from sun energy produced in Sahara into the EU grid. The political science major had never collaborated with students within the fields of engineering, biology and economics before and found it eye opening to work on such a diverse team:
“We supplemented each other remarkably well; I gained technical insights into renewable energy solutions I had no prior knowledge of. At the same time, I could help provide legislative overviews of climate regulation laws dating back from the Kyoto Protocol up until today”
