As of May 1st Jacob Hagemann is joining Innovation Center Denmark in Silicon Valley as Senior Commercial Advisor. We are very happy to welcome him to the center. Get to know our new colleague through this little Q&A:
Can you believe it? It's already been 3 years since the first batch of startups took off on our intense startup bootcamp - SCALEit!
This September we once again received a group of killer Danish startups at what was our most ambitious SCALEit program so far including TechCrunch Disrupt participation and demoing, quality time with other Nordic entrepreneurs & a special visit from Minister of Business & Growth, Henrik Sass Larsen.
Those were the odds that Nordic investors initially gave game tool developer Unity when they were seeking funding while working out of a Copenhagen basement.
The Minister of Business & Growth, Henrik Sass Larsen visited Silicon Valley on a two-day study trip. During his visit, the Minister paid a visit to Innovation Centre Denmark and met with many Bay Area actors, including local and Danish businesses and policy-advisors based in the valley. When asked about the goal of his trip, the Minister explained: “I have come to the Bay Area to study what it is they do and how they achieve success doing it. I wish to explore what it is that Denmark lacks to boost innovation; is it capital, counseling or follow-up? I want to find out, where we should focus our energy”.
Are you an entrepreneur and in the process of building a company that has the potential of becoming a global company. If yes, then is Innovation Center Denmark now offering you a unique accelerator program. SCALEit gives your startup the opportunity of going on a 1-week inspiration tour in Silicon Valley.
